AESA Global Opens the Door: Building Partnerships in Hungary

Spring 2026 Edition
AESA Global Opens the Door: Building Partnerships in Hungary

For nine remarkable days in Hungary, AESA Global opened doors — from strategic meetings to student performances, creating access, trust, and connection in motion.

Some journeys are planned. Others are orchestrated with intention.

For nine remarkable days in Hungary, AESA Global did more than visit schools and institutions—we opened doors. And walking through every one of those doors with us was ACES, a proud AESA member agency, engaging directly in global partnerships made possible through AESA Global's established international relationships.

Budapest, Hungary

From strategic meetings to student performances, this was not simply a tour. It was access. It was trust. It was connection in motion.

Day 1 – Setting the Stage for Global Collaboration

In beautiful Budapest, AESA Global convened with Fulbright Hungary and EducationUSA to initiate high-level conversations about cooperative exchange initiatives. Because of AESA Global's longstanding partnerships, ACES was seated at the table from the very beginning—participating in strategic discussions that will shape exchange programming for 2026 and beyond.

Day 2 – A Welcome That Moved Us

At Szinyei Merse Pál High School, students welcomed AESA Global and ACES with a joyful courtyard dance performance. Each freshman class learns team-building dances as part of orientation—a tradition that reflects unity, pride, and belonging. Through AESA Global's coordination, this was more than a performance—it was the beginning of meaningful exchange conversations launching this spring.

Day 3 – Innovation at "Poli"

At Közgazdasági Politechnikum Alternatív High School—known affectionately as "Poli"—AESA Global introduced ACES to one of Hungary's most progressive student-centered models. Out of hundreds of global school visits, this one stood out. Students were empowered. Classrooms were dynamic. The mission was bold. Because AESA Global facilitated this connection, ACES was able to engage directly with leadership about future ESA partnerships and innovation-driven exchange opportunities.

Day 4 – Strategy, Creativity, and Global Thinking

At the Global Chess Festival held at the Hungarian National Gallery, the spirit of innovation took center stage. Through AESA Global's invitation and coordination, ACES engaged in conversations with chess champions and innovators—including an inspiring encounter with Ernő Rubik himself. The symbolism was powerful. Like a Rubik's Cube, global partnerships require alignment, movement, and creativity.

Day 5 – An Evening at the Franz Liszt Academy

AESA Global extended a special opportunity for ACES: a private tour and performance at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Founded in 1875 by Franz Liszt himself, the Academy stands as a jewel of Hungarian culture. Joined by partners at Fulbright Hungary, the evening celebrated the unifying power of music and education. Because of AESA Global's trusted relationships, ACES experienced not only artistic excellence—but cultural immersion at the highest level.

Day 6 – Planning the Future at ORCHIDEA

Momentum turned to action at ORCHIDEA Hungarian-English Bilingual Secondary School. Together, AESA Global and ACES outlined action plans for a wide-reaching ESA exchange program. With its vibrant international student community, ORCHIDEA brings depth, diversity, and global perspective to collaborative initiatives.

Day 7 – The Living Legacy of Kodály

At Kodály Zoltán Choir School, tradition and excellence harmonized. Through AESA Global's leadership, ACES observed the world-renowned Kodály Method in practice—spanning elementary through high school. Classroom observations and powerful student performances reflected a deep respect for musical heritage and disciplined artistry.

Day 8 – Innovation in Action at Orchidea

At Orchidea Hungarian-English Bilingual Kindergarten, Primary & High School, the focus shifted toward future readiness. With strengths in Innovation & Economics, Mathematics & Digital Culture, and STEM education, Orchidea is preparing students to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Through AESA Global's collaboration with Óbuda University, ACES participated in discussions about launching multilingual and intercultural initiatives in 2026.

Day 9 – A Celebration of Global Learning

The journey culminated at Karinthy Frigyes Bilingual High School. AESA Global welcomed ACES into rich leadership discussions, classroom observations, and a presentation on International Baccalaureate programming. But it was Music Appreciation Day that captured the heart of the visit. Students celebrated student performers throughout the day—an affirmation of artistry, pride, and holistic education.

Global connections around the world

The Door That Was Opened

Across nine days, one theme remained clear:

Hungary welcomed AESA Global. And AESA Global opened that door for ACES.

Every meeting, every school visit, every cultural experience was intentionally facilitated through AESA Global's international partnerships—ensuring that member agencies like ACES can step confidently into meaningful global collaboration.

This is what AESA Global does. We build bridges. We create access. We turn conversations into partnerships.

2026 is ready to bloom.
